Well if he says it is up to us specs and it is a true 3.8L the seller is full of it. I have done tons of reseach into exporting a late model E34 M5 with no luck for the 3.8L. It is possible that by Euro terms (registration date) it is a 3.6L Euro M5 registered in 1995, thus making it a 95 model. It is not easy to modify but it is possible. I had a friend just recently purchase a 1995 (us) 1994 (german registration date) 750I short body here in Muchen, GE. He paid 2700 so far to convert it and is expecting about 1200 stateside to complete the EPA test for compliance. He purchased it for 13000 USD with 110000 Kilometers on it. Pretty good deal. I am currently looking into staying here when I leave the army to start a exporting buisness dealing with exclusivly with BMW's. I know the demand is great and I am still researching the in's and outs. Enought ramblin I hope this clears up some issues with importing Euro Specs Bimmers.
