Oops! - Yes, I love the short shifter, thet throw on the M5 is much longer than when I got used to in my 94 Rx-7, that also had a short shifter. I just put on into my friends 2000 M5, and he loves the fact that he can actually burn the tires in second gear longer now due to the revs not falling down as far while he is driving. Install the UUC with all the bushings that you can get, it makes the shifter much tighter and sporty feeling. I also installed the UUC Tranny Mounts and Enforcers, which made throwing the car through gears even firmer.
When I got the car dynoend a little less that a year ago, it was reading all of the stock hp numbers to the 'T', which is 315hp. Since I got the chip put, I haven't gotten the car dynoed yet, but when I do I will post for those who wonder as to whether or not to get a chip. I love the chip that I have, which is one made by Mark D'Sylvia. The power band is much stronger, the mileage is the same, unfortunately it still has a governor. Recently part of the clutch desintegrated, so now the motor has a shudder due to the imbalance at the motor, but I will fix that as soon as I can find a good price on a clutch and get the tools together to do the job.
Short shift make quite a difference?Thanx.Bye!
