short shift kit an answer to my vague gear shift? (archive)

Just wondering if anyone knows by getting a short shift kit will eliminate the vague feel of the shifter in my M5? I just got the car. The engine is strong and there is no weird noise or vibration from any where. But he gear shift is really vague and long. I wonder if any short shift kit will take care of it. And which one is the best deal out there?
