NEED HELP ON PROSPECT OF PURCHASE (archive)

I am looking at a 91 M5 with 120,000 miles on it. It is all stock (even fan wheels). I have not yet performed a compression test or had it inspected by a dealer. If a compression test is performed what are some positive number to look at? What type of engine life can I expect out of the engine. The current owner admits to pushing the car 12 times (over 120 mph) but has had the car since 65,000 miles. What type of price should I expect to pay for this car? The owner is asking $18,500 but is negotiable. Please any responses would be helpful.
