Water pump arrived today. It looks to be a factory part in a factory box. I am optimistic... Well, between you guys and my friend at work I was scared into buying a new waterpump for my '91 M5 (90k on original pump). $125 from Rodd Sydney at allbmwparts.com. Now I am buying parts when they haven't broken yet... I bought a new thermostat and gasket as well. Later I got an e-mail saying there was another SPECIAL seal that had to be replaced when doing the thermostat installation. It is SPECIAL because it costs $33 (!!!!!). Does anyone know what this is for? My Chilton manual descibes what to do, but doesn't show any photos of the repair process. Thanks. Charlie
