The new chip has an 8000RPM governor, but I have gotten good enough at driving the car that I can keep it off of the rev limiter in order to do burnouts/powerbreaks or fishtails. I usually do a shift into second around 7500RPM, which leaves the car with enough torque to still break out in second gear!
