My M5 is a '91 with 117K miles - new to me and I love it, but it seems to have an abnormally bouncy ride, even for a performance car. My tech says the accumulators are probably the culprit. He is suggesting that I put 535i Shock assemblies with Bilstein cartridges in place of my self-leveling suspension. He says he can disconnect the relay and plug lines so everything is still there if I ever want it back to original, everything else is now. Supposedly I get a better ride and handling. Cost estimated at $500-$700 depending on how much we pay for parts.
Anybody done this? Thoughts?
