You can call or stop by any Canada Customs border and they have a list of cars that are permisible under the law. It's best to ask before importing, if your vehicle can enter. I have seen cars turned back at the border and the new owners had no idea it could not enter Canada and were stuck with it in the USA.


The only vehicles that can be personally imported into canada LEGALLY now are 1985 and older cars.
Unless it is manufactured for Canada. I got that from the head of Canada's Customs Office and their version of DOT. Yes you can import cars into the US pretty easily but it is a turkey shoot as to the prices of the conversion cost and then the EPA Certification prices also.

I have brought in 3 euros for my own personal collection, and assisted a few friends with importing for personal use.
