Canada for the most part adopts the same standards as the U.S. They design their import laws to prevent exactly what we are talking about. The only way to can get the car in is to "smuggle" it in. ie license plate swap across the boarder. If you do get it into Canada someone over there is going to be responsible for the car. When it's MIA in Canada and shows up in the US and somehow it's traced back to you…big problems are on the horizon. You need to look here http://www.epa.gov/Region9/air/importfaqs.html to get a basic understanding of what the law is. If it were easy, people would be doing it all the time.
