All US E34 M5's (1991-1992) had this 17x8 forged wheel-it's a 5 spoke without the finned covers (whitewhall look) and throwing star covers-same wheel, different covers.

This 17x8 wheel originally came with the turbine cover and magnesium insert and a hub cover that snaps in. Somewhat later, the throwing star came into being and this "bare" wheel supports the throwing star cover as well. The throwing star covers are about $100 each so I hear. I have the turbine covers in a box but don't care for that look.
