Steve:

Congratulations!

1. The Euro and US headers on that car are the same. Part# 11 62 1 312 726.

2. You can have it coated at Jet-Hot for $279-299. However, there are some tubules in there that inject air for emissions control purposes that you might have to watch during the coating. Maybe you want to remove them entirely as Gary Derian recommended to me as they only help in the first few seconds of engine function to reduce emissions.

3. You probably should not bother. These cars are well tuned from the factory. Just spend the money on maintenance - bushings, steering linkages, etc., etc., and keep it running in good condition.

4. Very cool on the Brembos! Perhaps you can do HID lighting if you have to tinker. Or, 18" M-Parallel wheels?

This is only day 4 with my new 91 M5 and it was a shame it had to sit in the parking lot all day while I worked. Picked up in NH on Saturday am and drove it back to NJ after buying it sight unseen. Thank god for the traffic on the way down, no doubt saved me from a ticket. Biggest problem will be the PD with this car, has JC chip and Dinan cam gear, BB exhaust its fast as hell! Does anyone know where I can purchase the euro header for this motor? I would like to obtain one and have it coated or even extrude-honed or both. Should I even bother? Just wondering where I can tinker as prior owner already did all the goodies. This car was at Ofest with the big brembos up front if anyone saw it. Regards, Steve
