I am looking to purchase the following car. What is a fair price? 1991 M5, white, black interior, 76,000 miles, 195 to 200 compression, 8 to 10 percent leakdown, body is perfect, interior is near perfect, needs: rear shocks ($1,310 installed), front control arm bushings, transmission rear seal and shifter seal and mounts ($300), major service ($650) plus a few other minor things for a total of $2,753 in immediate repairs. One owner, one mechanic car. Will need tires and brakes in the next 5,000 miles. What should I pay for a car like this in California?
