I have a Mark D'sylva chip in my car, and along with he increased timing to smooth the idle, my car still pulls like a mad man from around 3500 on, all on a stock motor with 167K!

Hello people. The other day i sat in a m5 e34 3.6L.We floored it in 3rd gear at about 3000rpm or so and it felt quite tamed but after 5000 it really went untill about 6500 then from 6500-7000 wasn't that xciting. Was like out of breath.I just want to know is it standard or does it have a chip cause i noticed with our 325is 2.7L.It has a hartge chip and branch only and it has the same effect like after 4000 it really goes and before 4000 its quite tamed.I noticed a chip can make quite a difference and i'm sure it will make a better difference on an m5 since seeing its multivalve etc.My 325is is only 12 valve. I did notice in one magazine they said the m5 really hauls after 5000.Also i noticed how well this vanos variable valve timing works on the m3's and was wondering isn't it the same thing like fitting a vernier cam pulley and retarding the timing.Should have similiar effect or what? Will it make quite a difference in performance. Not woried bout torque.Want high rev power.thanx a lot.Bye!
