also, I haven't had any problems with idling, but I think I know what your problem was... you probably didn't get that intake tube on all the way, and it had a vacuum leak (thats what my car did when it had a vacuum leak in the intake tube thing)

Alright Dan, you got me excited. Basically, it sounds like you just removed the entire box and sensor. Replaced it with a K&N round filter. I am going to try it this weekend.
