I was so excited, that I bought and installed the K&N this past weekend. WOW!!! What a difference!!!! The car runs smoother, and definetely have more power. The install took less than 30 mins. You do need the heat shield because I initially installed the K&N without the heatshield, and the car was running rough. I then made the heatshield, installed that by shoving it between the K&N and radiatior. The heatshield sort of separates the K&N location from the rest of the engine compartment because it goes all the way up to the hood, making the area a large air box. I used long tie wraps to secure the filter to the orignal mounting bracket.
