Why does eveyone seem to remove the self leveling system rather than repairing it? Is it simply because the cost is so great to repair the system, or does removal of the system cause an increase in performance of the car.I have noticed that with a full load (4 passengers + luggage) our 91 535i does sag a bit in the rear, so I assume an M5 would do the same without self leveling.
Would it be advantageous to maintain the functionality of the self leveling if you wanted to maximize handling with a full load at high speeds?
Is there any flaw with the self leveling system other than the fact that it starts to leak after 10 years/100k miles?
