M5 oversteer (archive)

I'm looking for a powerful RWD normally aspirated car to use for long powerslides (on a track naturally!) and the M5 struck me as a prime candidate. Does anyone here get their M5 seriously sideways, and if so what are your impressions? I imagine with over 300bhp through the rear wheels it's easy to provoke, but is it progressive controllable oversteer, or does the rear snap out without warning? Is it easy to hold the car in a nice long slide or do you have to be Michael Schumacher to avoid spinning it every time?
