91 M5 with 95K miles. Rear end shakes (steering wheel is calm) over 60 mph. Had dealer rebalance wheels and check tires A-OK. Ride was smoother when wheels were unbalanced. Any suggestions?

you could have a badly worn dogbone. That is the name of those little bone shaped arms that go between the subframe and suspension arm. I just replaced mine due to bad tire wear. They control toe changes as the arm goes up and down. If you have a lot of mileage you may want to replace those and maybe the suspension arm bushings also. That way you eliminate those as a cause and they might need changing anyway.
