Neil is correct, the pump is (partly) siezed.
I did run mine once dry trying to locate a noise/vibration between the pump and the steering and it siezed within one minute of running the engine.
I donīt think repair is possible and I doubt if the front part with the bearing is available seperately.
A new pump will cost you $500 in exchange!
Cheers.
Just replaced the lines going to the power steering pump. At some point the pump was turning with no fluid in it. Now with the new lines, the pump starts to get extremely hot. WE had some hoses made using the original ends and all restrctors were re installed in the lines.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
