Yeah, great. I'm proud that you know e34 M5's. But you cannot tell whether it is truly an e34 M5 (or any other M5 for that matter) unless you look at the VIN, the VIN stamps on the body, the production label, the engine, the drivetrain and suspension. You would also have to consult a dealer that would consult BMW NA or BMW GmbH, and they would have the full history.

I could take a 525i (must be a 5 sp manual) right now and put the proper body components (air dam, rear apron, side skirts, and other misc.) and get an exhaust that would make the proper tone that an M5 emits. Slap on some stock M5 wheels ( with turbine or throwing star caps), or other really flashy or racy wheels. There you go, you have just raced a 525i or as you know it, an M5.

A real M5, even if driven by a punk kid, will defeat a 911na. In the proper hands, a M5 will rule a 911na. A 911t is different, but it still uses a turbo, not a masterpiece of engineering I6 3.6l or 3.8l
