I've ridden in many an M3 and a few porsches (968s mainly) and from what i understand the 968s handle better... but I went riding through the mts in my M5 last sunday with my bro behind the wheel. All I can say is Dayum that thing handles, It scared the crap out of me, but he was hauling through some tight corners for a good 10 minutes.... he was going about as fast as he would go with his M3s or porsches.

but the 911 still handles better... im just saying the M5 is no slouch for its size(3900lbs!!!)

Any Porsche 911 (964 body till most recent) should have no problem against a stock E34 M5, especially through the corners driven by 2 competent drivers...

A 911 has a better hp/weight ratio, compared to a E-34 M5. Great car, no doubt and not many 4 dr cars can out run it, but it is not that fast anymore compared to the newer machines out there!!!. I know, I drive them on the track and instruct folks that have them all.
