I have been struck with delaminating door panels!! (archive)

My '91 M5 has finally been infected with the delaminating door panel disease. Three of the four doors have some problem. The car is white with light gray interior. Can someone direct me to a thread or site on this? I have heard that glue doesn't work. What is the current wisdom concerning a fix? New door panels?? Do the leather door panels on later E34 cars do this? AACCKK!
