Updating the instrustment panel anyone? (archive)

I am just wondering any updating is possible. Rigth now, it looks a bit faded or maybe it has always been like that. When the light is on, the black area has lights showing through instead of just the numbers and the dial. Can anything be done to make it look less aged?
