Okey, i'm lookin at buying a 91 M5. A friend of mine referred me, so i'm fairly confident that everything is good on the car. But can anyone give me a quick "checklist" of things that are known to be problematic?

It's the weirdest thing--the clutch. I bought a 91 M5 two years ago with 19k and had to replace the clutch at 35,000. Every M5 that I looked at whether it had 20k or 120k, had the clutch replaced, I thought it was a sign of abuse, or something, but it was very common. By the way, it's kind of expensive and make sure you replace the rear main seal a the same time. Happy Motoring.
