This will be a very tought car to sell. So if you're going to get it, basically you will need to take it to the grave with you.

Theft recovery is tricky, you may have trouble with your insurance carrier getting coverage on the car.

Also you never know what the thief did on his/her joy ride with 340 ponies under the hood.

Have the car checked out thoroughly, negociate the best possible price, and still expect some problems--and I am an optimist.

Frankly, for $11k, I would get a good E-28, M-series, I think it would be a much better value.


I'm buying a '92 525i that has been converted to an M5( has the 3.6L 320hp engine, transmission, wheels, brakes, suspension, gauge cluster) The engine has 57k on it and the car is selling for $11k. Only drawback is that the car has a Theft/Recovery title but no damage has been done to the car at all. What do u guys think, what should I look out for when I get the car, what kind of maintenance and inspections should I get done to put the car back into tip top shape? engine wise..
