from 81k to 147k and maintenance at or about what you have paid for your 735i. I have a few transmission gremlins starting to show up but nothing catastrophic yet. Those miles also include 20+ days on the track. The only "failure" was the A/C at 100k. I have replaced other parts as part of preventive maintenance.Kevin

Hey enthusiasts, I currently own a 1988 735i, and spend about $2500 a year in maintenance. This year I spent $4000(new trans and new headgasket and other stuff). I'm wondering how similar in maintenace costs the M5(1994) will be. And I also wanted to know how many of you current M5 owners use them as daily drivers. I plan on buying one within the next month or so, and was wondering if they make better weekend cars than daily drivers.
Thanks in advance,
Mr. H.
