Racing Dynamics makes an exhaust that is as close to stock as you'll get. It is manufactured by the same company that makes the OEM exhausts for BMW. I have it on mine and love it. Also, it's cheaper than OEM

The original factory exhaust for my 1991 M5 is rusting where the pipes enter the rear muffler and will probably be leaking soon.

I've seen ads for various aftermarket systems and, based on other postings here, consider their performance claims to be irrelevant. Do any of them actually increase (or, worse, decrease) performance? Anyone dyno before and after?

The aftermarket parts seem to sell for less than the OEM system. My main concerns are: sound (not too much louder than stock), fit, durability and that the performance be at least as good as stock.

Comments?

Thanks in advance,
Anthony
