hello pplz.i just wanna know how is car and drivers test results done.here in south africa car magazine does their test results with a full tank of fuel,2 passengers and about 30 kilograms of test equipment and they tested the 3.6l m5 to 0-100km/h(62mph)in 6.72 sec at sea level compared to car and drivers 5.6.on a 1km sprint it took 26.9 sec at 206 km/h.the car should have been quicker.i mean a 330 does 100 in 6.7 sec and 1km in 27 sec at 200.an e28 m5 does exactly the same as the e34 m5 6.7 sec and 26.9 for 1km at 200.an m3 2 door 286hp does 6.34 sec and 26 sec 1km at 210 and an e39 540 does 6.6 and 26.3 at 208.maybe the car was underspec but another mag tested the m5 to 100km/h in 8.21 sec and 15.78 1/4.this was done at reef altitude at which u loose 17% power.i mean a 328 e36 was quicker at 7.78 to 100 and 15.7 1/4.540 e39 done 7.42 and 15.4 1/4 and m3 286 hp 6.35 and 14.4 1/4 and 4 door 321hp 6.66 and 14.77 1/4.how much faster will it be with a chip?chip adds 22 kw.i really like an m5 but those figures seem real disapointing.
