After following tips I checked my water pump by wiggling the fan. It has a little play, but no leakage. The car has 64K miles and is probably due a replacement. Where are the best deals in purchasing a water pump via mail order?

Don M

Ckeck the inside of the fan pully for a build up of dried coolant(white crud).

The delay in a show of water pump coolant leaking from the front seal is the leaking coolant is spun dry in the pully!!

My water pump went at 70K miles. I caught it before a catastrophic failure by monitoring the inside of the pully!!

While I was replacing the water pump I drilled 2 small(1/8") holes in the pully to allow the coolant to show when it first starts to leak next time.
