this is the reason why i dont like short shift kits.the problem is that the time needed to shift gears with the stock shifter is proportioned just right to the time needed for the syncros in the trans to line up so when you have a short shift kit you can shift it faster but the trans wont let it go into gear.i have heard this complaint on many ///M cars.i would recommend changing it back to stock.
