bearing type squeak/noise near water pump (archive)

Starting to hear a loud squeaking noise from the front part of the engine at 1000-1700 rpm. Can be heard while driving in 1st & 2nd gear. Fan clutch has been changed in the past year. don't know when water pump was last replaced.
does that sound like the water pump is going bad? any suggestions/warnings on R&R? recommendations as to who has the best price?
