The final drive was made taller for '92 and '93. Is there any material difference in quater mile times or overall feel?

I have a '93 M5 with a 4.10:1 rear end. The original owner had Korman Auto Works switch gearsets. First gear is very short speed-wise, and I find that in town I am ususlly using gears 2-4. I still get ~ 20 mpg on the open road (I also have the Dinan cam sprocket and Mark D'Sylva's chip in the car). Keep the 3.71 or 3.91 unless you have a 6-speed. I will probably go to a 3.71 ratio with the Quafie LSD I have on the shelf. Remember, the M5 has considerable weight (compared to an M3), so off the line acceleration does put alot of strain on the drive train.
