Took me an hour to get the correct size allen but thats another story.

(now who's wondering if I should even BE doing the heater core after this...)
The automatic shifter has a small Allen nut on the leather/wood area. It faces forward, so it is hard to see. Just use your fingers to find an indentation in the shifter and you will find one. Then use an Allen wrench to unscrew.
Trust me, it is there!

Don't know if anyone here can help me on my 525 (Ive posted on the other board but...
I am trying to replace my heater core but 1 hour in and stuck already. I cannot get the leather covered shift handle off of the transmission selector (automatic) My manual shows a set screw but that must be for non-leather. NOTHING is visable.
PLEASE if anyone can tell me how this comes off I would appeciate the directions as I'm stuck until then...
TIA,
Michael
