pardon me for if I violate purist convention with this, but I think throwing stars LOOK better with the longest point of each talon pointing toward the rear of the car; therefore, counterclockwise orientation on right side of car; clockwise on left side.

You should have two different sets of throwing star covers. Two are designated for the right side and two are designated for the left side. Check the archives theres is a good a good link which shows the part numbers and the work invovled in replacinag the fan covers.
