I need to get another key for my car. The problem is, my car was a police repo from NYC. Aparently whenever a car gets repo'd in NY it gets a new VIN number. Will that VIN work if i go to a Bimmer dealership an' want a new key?

If you want a new key, check to see if the original tag is still located in the engine bay. I don't know if the American spec cars have it but the VIN is also located under the windshield, in between the wipers.
