Any thoughts from experienced owners on how to improve the reception of the stock head unit or what have you replaced the OE with? My AM reception doesn't exist in the Santa Monica foothills. Is there a simple test for the booster, or will an aftermarket antenna solve a reception problem. Appreciate any expert thoughts.


There is a Service information Bulletin that covers the testing of the antenna booster:
65 11 88 (incluses SIB 65 06 87).
A new and improved 3 wire antenna booster p/n is
65 23 1 384 421 was offered. This Antenna booster is NLA and a 4 wire antenna booster (p/n 65 24 1 390 933) supersedes the NLA part.
