'88 535is Dinan Turbo Final Editon

btw, THE B7 was like a dream car, your a lucky guy. The owner of he coupe told me there is an S model which is faster still. I hope you post the gtech times for both cars. I have gotten around 5.4 seconds to 60mph which reads faster than Car&Driver (5.6) and SCI (5.71).

Phil

i was thinking the same but when that turbo kicks in....but the m5 is great. and compared to the b7 it handles great and is quiet. i'll get a chip this week and get my dad's g-tech out.

Race the two before making the claim John. I was in Bremerton with Puget Sound BMW club in 1999 with my 1991 Dinan chipped M5. I rode in a B7 6'er coupe, 330 hp, it felt way faster but in reality when we were lapping my M5 which doesnt feel all that fast was more than a match for the old blue B7. Dont underestimate the M5 which is so refined it masks speed. I also ran quite easily with a 1981 turbo Alpina sedan on the same day. Much, much faster, no chance.

My 1985 Alpina B7 turbo coupe is much, much faster.
