Does anyone know if the cam sensor that came on the 3.8l engine (euro only?) was a variable reluctance type similar to the crank sensors or a Hall effect type? I am considering using on an S14 engine. TIA

u might get better results asking question on the e28 M5 board, those people at least work on their own cars.
