Mike, the E34 is nearly as fast as the E39 but you need to drive it differrently to get the most out of it. As you know, it only pulls hard from 4000 to 7000 rpm. I think you really like the mid range torque of the S62. A supercharged S38 is not the best way to go for that. You want a larger engine. There is no easy solution other than trading up to an E39 M5.


Folks:

Spent the last 10 days driving a friends 2001 E39 M5 (she was recovering from an operation). Jesus, what a ride. I got back into my 93 and I just could not stand the lack of power. I have spent the last couple of days trying to find a supercharger to no avail. Anyone got any ideas?
