Like the others have said unless you are in love with the M5 go for the 540. The M5 can be more rewarding, but you need to push it. The 540 just begs you put your foot down and the torque down low is nice. Plus the 540 is going to be a better everyday driver. The clutch is softer (traffic) and it is just more luxurious. Good luck in your search, both are awsome cars.
