Bill,
I had a high pitched noise comming from the dash and finally figured that it was from the position of the middle dash vent while the upper and lower vents were closed!

Bill:

Will Zaraska and others have told me that it comes from a loose under-wiper panel vibrating at high speed. Remove, put caulk, reattach.

Have recently bought a '91 M5. At about 60 mph there is a high-pitched wind noise. Not sure where it comes from. Car completely stock except for a telephone antenna mounted upper middle of rear window. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to diagnose and treat? Thanks.
