I have a 90 535i 5 speed right now. Am going to look at an M5 this weekend. Am curious to hear thoughts from those that drive their cars daily as to any problems or issues. I am pretty familair with the general e34 issues, curious to hear more about M5 particulars.

We have an M5/E-34 and M6 as daily drivers. I have drivern the M5 for about three years; and the M6 for about 6 years. No real issues. We used to have a 635CSi and frankly, I don't see a difference.

The Ms are excellent daily drivers. Now a couple of qualifiers. Both cars have less that 60k, and we live in Phoenix, excellent roads and weather.

I wouldn't have any qualms about driving the M5 daily--go for it.
