I'll give it a try. Perhaps the dealer was just trying to push the stuff he had on hand...

Pete,

I just bought 12 chrome cap nuts from the local dealer, pn 07 11 9 924 324 cap nut M6, 75 cents discounted to 60 cents. These are not aluminum and the dealer had to order them, so they were not old parts onhand. Hope this helps.
