2 BMW dealers - Desert in Las Vegas is very busy & the mechs there are OK for routine stuff but seem unable to diagnose rare or unusual problems.Service writers have severe case of "they all do that"itis. Parts is OK & does give a club discount but always double check to make sure. Sales sucks! Desert in Henderson ( same co but run separately) Service spotty but OK on most routine stuff. Service writers are very good & pro.Parts stinks - caught them marking parts up 30-40% over list & then giving 20% club discount.Sales OK - but do the armorplate etc crap. Most of the independents suck & are ripoff artist. 2 to avoid are Precision Automotive ( had my car for 2 days when I made appt for work to be done & didn't touch it - they had the gall to get pissed when I took it out of their shop - try to pad bill by doing unnecessary work) & Blue's BMW ( this guy is a rip off artist 1st class - overcharges for parts & is just incompetent - installs parts backwards etc.) All in all not a pretty picture - I moved from Denver over a year ago & was spoiled by a great ,fair dealership there. Luckily I do most of my own work & travel to Denver frequently where I get all my parts & even schedule work on car during summer months. Never allow a Las Vegas shop to begin w/o a written estimate & always use a credit card so you can protest if necessary. Sorry for long rant but it will save you lots of $.
