My E34 M5 stock radio/CD controller died, and I replaced it with a newer (used) E34 radio (from a '94). It has the same CD changer wiring harness & connectors, but the newer radio doesn't "see" the changer. I swapped the old radio back, and it "saw" the changer. Is there a different pin-out on newer radios, even though the connector is the same? Is there an adapter? Am I just being cheap and just go buy a new original radio? My car has 153xxx miles and I've driven only 1 car that's better - the 2002 M5.
