I recently bought a 1991 M5 with turbine wheel covers. I have two questions I hope someone can help me with. First, I am getting throwing star wheel covers. Is it possible for me to remove the turbines and put the throwing star covers on my self or I am I better taking the car to a shop? Second, the wheels are in pretty good shape except the silver paint(?) seems to have worn off in certain places, so the wheels are black in certain spots. Can this problem be solved by simply painting the wheels? If so what paint do you recommend? If not what is the best route?
