Ellipsoid upgrade for e34 m5 (archive)

Has anyone upgraded to the ellipsoid headlights. If so, how is it done and what parts are needed? I have researched this extensively but have come up with nothing. I have a set of Hella smoked ellipsoids coming from Germany thinking that I could modify my existing buckets to make them work but I was wondering if there could be an easier way. Thanks for all responses.
