I made the mistake of buying the BMW TIS CD-ROM, and it is essentially useless. No information on repairs to speak of for any BMW, not just the M5. Purports to have all the engineering specifications on it, but has huge holes in it - for example, valve spring specs (force necessary to compress to a given height). But the parts master did point me in the direction of something called the Commercial Information System (KIS) that purports to have repair information. This, apparently, is a separate CD-ROM with its own part number. Does anybody out there have any experience with this item?
