For about a year its been almost immpossible to find 92 octane gasoline here in Southern California. I hear its because the refineries are preparing for a ban on MTBE and want to minimize expenses. Anyway ...

I have a 92 M5 (US Specs, 3.6L) with a Dinan chip, I don't hear any pinging with the 91 octane thats now available but I'm worried about any possible damage from long term use. Any thoughts?
