You can fill the system normally when it is cold. No need to pressurize.

The pressure prevents cavitation at the pump, allowing for better coolant circulation rates. This would be required only in extreme track-only situations. Also, there is a theory that the pressure is to fill a hot system, which would be under pressure to begin with.

New coolant tanks for the car come w/o pressure fittings.

Can some one on this board educate me and the rest about the need to maintain the proper pressure in the M5's coolant system?
